Barcel Brioso from Milwaukee, Wisconsin's Barcel Suzuki String Academy performed a benefit concert for the Portland Suzuki Project.
The Portland Suzuki Project seeks to provide a musical education to children and families regardless of their financial income by introducing the Suzuki method of violin instruction. Currently Portland Suzuki Project is providing lessons at Beach Elementary School free of cost 4 days a week.
Barcel Brioso prepared an ambitious concert program, raised their own money to travel to Portland, became pen-pals with Beach Elementary students, spent time at Beach performing and working with the students, and finally performed the benefit concert you can view here!
